Laughing all day

Like I said, I've been laughing all day. Here are some pictures to help show you why... Lincoln was just being cute saying "cheese" while I was snapping away. It still comes out as "teeeeaaassseee". Our day wouldn't be complete without the appearance of Batman! This is a "different Batman" as described by Tiernan because of the gadgets in his utility belt plus he added his Ironman glasses under his mask... Sloan skipped the princess dress to become Captain America. What kills me is she needed a utility belt too. Since Captain doesn't have one, we had to borrow from Superman. Because Batman had all the cool gadgets, Captain had to resort to measuring spoons & a couple of beep-beep cell phones. That will hold her for a little while... Soon she's going to catch on that crime fighting in this house is rarely done with a tablespoon - it's more like a wooden spoon! The picture of Sloan & Lincoln made the cut merely because Lincoln is so in her face. It was a happy rant whatever it was that he was saying. He went on to become Superman (cape only) & kept on his happy rant while on the phone. Was he calling for reinforcements or just telling Green Lantern that he just had a really good snack?

"I DO"... after naked chaos

Since we didn't have anywhere to go & it was all of 9am, the next logical thing to do after getting squeaky clean is to cut everyone's finger & toe nails. All 3 got a man/ped but Sloan was very much interested in "I do" so she tried to do her own toes (she'll learn that the spa ped is SO much nicer). She wouldn't stop there. She got Lincoln involved. Notice he even lifted his legs to help! Both of them! When it was time to get dressed, it was another "I do". So she's putting on her own shirt while humming "Mary had a little lamb". I"m telling you I've laughed all day.

Naked Chaos

Today was rainy and yucky so we stayed home... It didn't qualify as a "pj day" since we all got dressed but it was pretty darn close. We spent quite a bit of time in the tub with lots of bubbles & lots of ducks. Afterwards, there was naked chaos... I couldn't wrangle them all in! They were everywhere! You'll see lots of pictures from today because these kids were just so stinking cute!

More farming here in Indiana

We harvested round 2 of our tomatoes (don't worry, we won't post pictures of each "crop"). We might get to a point where we start giving these things away OR I just won't have to buy 2 lbs of cherry tomatoes a week! Truly, that's how many tomatoes these kids eat! We also got to harvest our 1st cucumber! It's actually a lemon cuke. So it looks like a lemon but tastes like a cuke. There's suppose to be a slight citrus taste to it - it wasn't there for me, but Tiernan thought it tasted "lemon-y". Either which way, he was happy about his harvest & that's why we did this whole garden experiment.

There's a 1st time for everything...

So big brother & Da brought home milkshakes from their "guys afternoon". Sloan & Lincoln got to taste Da's & man, they LOVED them. Since Tiernan was going to finish his for his dessert, I made the twins a peach smoothie to make them feel like they got what T got... Today was really the 1st time they drank through straws. I guess the milkshake & then smoothie on the other end were motivating since I could barely get them to look at the camera. Nana, it looks like Steak n Shake peach milkshakes might be in the near future....

Batman!

Today, Saturday August 2nd, Da & Tiernan went to meet Batman at the Children's Museum! This was a surprise for Tiernan so he was ecstatic. They also got to see the "Tumbler" which is the new name for the Batmobile. It's the one that was in the 2005 Batman, as well as the recently released one. Both of which are too old for T but Da appreciated seeing it. All the excitement wore poor Bruce Wayne (notice the name change AFTER seeing "the man") out. But he revived with another surprise of milkshakes! Woo-hoo! So, we obviously suited up upon arriving at home. He's standing on a slide we have in the playroom which he "flew" down after his pictures. Today was a good day (except that I'm still singing the theme song in my head)!
